TinyMCE is a very popular WYSIWYG editor for many applications. A recent project that i have been working on that utilizes the free editor required a custom file management plugin outside of the default one.

This seemed like a perfect opportunity to use my standalone Coldfusion/Flex file management application to integrate with TinyMCE.

When outputting FiLEX into the html for the plugin, we just need to add in the download type as a parameter into the application to know that we intend to integrated with TinyMCE. From this point, the necessary functionality is activated with FiLEX to output the File URL into the location field in TinyMCE.

The .zip download contains the following directories :

/filexswf - contains the filex.swf and the html required to output the flash movie. This can go anywhere on the website, outputting the correct path within the .html here and in the tinyMCE plugin.
/includes - contains the ini file that configures up the application.
/services - the webservice coldfusion components that FilEX requires to use Flash Remoting to communicate with the server.
/tinyMCE_plugin - needs to go into the 'plugin' directory within the TinyMCE install
